  • Biography
I have been painting and drawing my whole life: doodling, colouring-in, throwing paint, Jackson Pollock-style, at a large piece of paper in infant's school - these are my earliest artistic memories and are the basis for who I am today. Over the years,I have worked in various businesses whilst always keeping art as my focus, quietly selling work through various outlets. Following the birth of my 2 children, I retrained as a teacher, eager to pass on my knowledge and joy in painting, teaching ages from 6 to 96. I have held painting holidays in Norfolk and the Yorkshire Dales and continue to teach weekend workshops when asked and individual pupils at home. In the last 25 years I have exhibited and sold many pieces of art to private collectors and through galleries and my work continues to evolve in different directions whilst always remaining inspired by the natural world and attempting to express that in a unique and personal way. I also have a small range of greeting cards and art mugs, alongside my limited edition prints and I'm always looking for new and interesting ways to expand my art.

I relocated to Devon in 2009 and made the move further south into west Cornwall in 2018 to start a new chapter of my life in this beautiful part of the country. At present I am absorbed in the use of acrylic gouache for their brilliant colour and velvety texture, helping to create truly individual pieces of artwork that reflect how I feel about beauty and life so please share and enjoy!
