About Ron Barlow

  • Biography
Art has always been a refreshing companion during my journey through life's rich pageantry. My early career in New York City was as a writer, but it was eventually discharged in favor of the visual arts. Good decision. My academic training pursued the realism of still life, landscapes and portraiture, but I discovered there was much more to say by creating from within. The sea, mythology, wildlife in all forms and inner conflicts are all ingredients that can manifest in my art. I plan nothing initially to avoid the complications stemming from conscious interference. I do, however, reach a point when conscious participation pulls the work together. The titles for my werks are purely personal and subjective ... the imagined meaning lies with the viewer.
