  • Biography
After completing my BA (hons) Fine Art degree at Northumbria University I spent two years studying Paintings Conservation followed by working for nearly 20 years as an Artist’s Assistant for Ben Johnson in London.
I started working full time on my own work after I moved to Bath in 2009. Having now acquired a garden I began painting the products of this - flowers, fruit and vegetables. I had always focussed my work on the natural world, and I now began to range further afield for my subjects. Often placing them against vibrant backgrounds I have endeavoured to create a vivid set of harmonies and contrasts to express the living dynamic which I sense in these organic forms. This has produced works of strong colour and simple, bold forms.
