    I am mostly a landscape artist who paints from imagination with oils, but occasionally I will paint various other subjects (mostly animals/wildlife), and contemporary abstract pieces. Shown here is one of my most recent paintings that I completed of a white horse on 20x20 inch, textured/cradled hardwood. Title: "Rapunzel"

    Small and Mid-Sized Studio Setup

    Small and Mid-Sized Studio Setup

    I had an old desk that I was no longer using for anything where my studio is now located. Since the desk was a neutral color (perfect for accurate color mixing), I decided to make it into an area where I can paint most of my smaller sized paintings. I used a thick piece of glass and taped off where my palette would be, and use various brush holders that consist of mason jars, pieces of wood with holes drilled into them to hold the smaller brushes. The old mild jar that you see is where my favorite "go-to" brushes are stored, and the glass palette works perfect and makes for easy clean-up.

    Preparing to paint until sunrise

    "Paintings By Night" is a name that I call my shop and art business from my home studio. I choose to work most of the time throughout the night since there are less distractions. Since I paint mostly from imagination, I also believe that this is when the subconscious is most active. I enjoy what I do and love to share my artwork throughout the world for others to enjoy.
