Biomorphia 1-8 is Eilís O' Connell's largest commission of monumental sculpture to date. These eight large-scale works combine the artist's common sculptural themes of nature, geometry, memory and history on a monumental scale, achieved through an innovative use of advanced composite materials.

Biomorphia is on display at the Cass Sculpture Foundation's exclusive four-acre commissioning space, the chalk pit. By providing O'Connell with a commission free from site-specific requirements, the Foundation has enabled the artist to realize her sculptural ambitions and to create a body of work that is both imaginative and experimental.
