In this piece I refer to medieval images of the 'Danse Macabre' or 'dance of death' in which skeletons danced with maidens and kings, reminding the viewer of the vanity of earthly riches and beauty. This is my humorous take on the habit of spending our lives on our phones and the vanities of social media. The skeletons aren't really dancing with each other but dancing with their phones, taking selfies as they twirl around.
This framed piece is made using the filmed paper elements of an animation I made of the same name.
