Original artwork description:

Painting worked from free improvisation. Action painting with the music of Dire Straits.

The humanoid of the future from the movie Prometheus and the paintings of the Chauvet Cave form this story of past and future. What makes us human and our animal essence.

We are only animals, but we speak with the Gods. We hunt and paint. We farm and pray. We are insignificant and giants at the same time. Simple and magical. We are nothing or perhaps the only thing.

We, who are Nature but who have become something else.

Gestural, intuitive painting, which lets things happen and relies on what appears. Taking advantage of the accident and accepting the consequences.

The unknown, what slips through our fingers... Nature, antiquity, the earthly and the spiritual.

Need to tell things, to leave a mark, to understand the world, which is always modern and ancient.

Nothing matters much... Working with a lost gaze...

Materials used:

acrylic, gesso, pigments, charcoal, wax, graphite
